INTRODUCTION
Watch and Buds are the smallest products on the floor and the easiest to walk past. The brief was a highlight zone customers could find from the entrance. Our answer was the products' own shapes — at wall scale.
Find it from the entrance
A watch face fits in a palm; the wall does not. We enlarged each silhouette until it reads from the entrance, so recognition happens before the customer reaches the table.
One method, two shapes
Each silhouette is built from stacked timber fins — the same method for Watch and for Buds. One construction, two shapes, so the pair reads as a family without looking identical.
Built to survive a store
The silhouettes are built as wall panels, not as a single object — installed, cleaned and swapped piece by piece. The products sit in front on their standard mounts.
The product stays the hero
The silhouettes sit behind the products, not in front of them. They point, then get out of the way.
OUTCOME
One method, two product families, one wall a customer can read from the door.
DESIGN NOTE
Recognition is designed. Not decorated.
